How it works
Pipeline & deals in practice.
Deals attach to the same verified company and contact records the pipeline was prospected from, so an account has one history rather than two. see the company records deals are built on.
Stages you can see
A drag-and-drop Kanban board running discovery through qualification to won, so the shape of the quarter is legible without opening a report.
Money on the card
MRR, contract value and contract end dates travel with the deal, which is what makes renewals visible before the month they land.
Forecasting that is weighted
Win probability by stage produces a weighted revenue forecast, rather than a total that assumes everything closes.
History rather than mood
Stage history and the activity log record how a deal got where it is, and Nora's deal risk analysis reads that history rather than the rep's optimism.

What it replaces
Keep the workflow connected.
The common setup is a CRM for the board, a spreadsheet for the forecast, and a quiet disagreement between them. Pipeline is part of the platform rather than a CRM licence bought alongside it. see what a seat costs.
The forecast spreadsheet
Weighted forecasting comes off the same records as the board, so the two cannot disagree.
A separate task tool
Tasks and reminders link to the deal they belong to, rather than to a list nobody opens.
Chasing reps for updates
Stage history and the activity log show movement without anyone being asked to describe it.
Guessing at renewals
Contract end dates sit on the deal, so a renewal appears as a date rather than as a surprise.
Questions
What people ask about pipeline & deals.
How is the forecast weighted?
By win probability at each stage, applied to the value on the deal. Because stage history is recorded, the forecast reflects where a deal has actually reached rather than where it was optimistically placed.
Does it track recurring revenue?
MRR and contract value both sit on the deal, along with contract end dates, so recurring revenue and renewal timing are visible on the board rather than reconstructed from invoices.
How do we know a deal has stalled?
Stage history and the activity log show the last real movement, and Nora's deal risk analysis reads both.
Do we still need a CRM?
The pipeline is the CRM for most teams using it. If you are keeping an existing one, records sync both ways with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics.
